Rhonda Coates
Executive Director
Compassion—understanding how important it is in senior living, and how it makes everything more meaningful—is the core value that most inspires Rhonda. She has always enjoyed health care, and when she discovered she could make a difference in the lives of others, particularly seniors, she was hooked. “Working as Executive Director is an exciting and rewarding job,” she says. “I really enjoy caring for seniors, particularly in memory care, where living in the moment is what it’s about.”
Rhonda brings extensive experience to her position, including 23 years in senior living. She has an AA in Occupational Therapy and a BA in Interdisciplinary Social Science. She also has achieved certifications as Director of Assisted Living (CDAL), Dementia Practitioner (CDP), Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer (CADDCT).
She’s looking forward to an Alaska vacation in the future, but for now, Rhonda enjoys floating in her pool with husband, Tim, when she has the time (which isn’t often). Even dog Max gets in the act, delighting Preserve residents in his role as therapy dog.
Her guilty pleasure? Strachan’s strawberry ice cream…every night.
